The Fil-Am Orphans Foundation is a Filipino American nonprofit that walks alongside orphaned children in the Philippines from childhood to independence, working through trusted partner orphanages to ensure that every child we serve has access to education, healthcare, nutrition, and the mentorship they need to graduate, find employment, and build a life on their own terms. Annchel Chuca was the organization’s first recipient; she survived Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan, which claimed the lives of her parents and nine other relatives, and successfully pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She’s currently thriving in the US.
